The meeting of the Collegium of the Communication Services was held
Based on the order of the Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 23, 2023, today, July 5, 2023, a regular meeting of the Advisory Council of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held. Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the Chairman of the Advisory Council – First Deputy Chairman of the Communications Service Ilkhom Atoev, members of the Advisory Council, heads of headquarters, departments and their deputies, as well as heads of departments of the Service.
At this meeting, the results of the work of the Service in the first half of 2023 and further plans for the next half of 2023 were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, the Council adopted relevant decisions on the issues discussed.
The Expert Council of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan noted that according to the main economic indicators of the infrastructure enterprises of the Communications Service, together with operators and private providers during this period, according to preliminary data, the total income of the construction of the telecommunications sector in the amount of 1 billion 900 million 982 thousand 423 somoni, compared with the first half of 2022 (1 billion 660 million 508 thousand 723 somoni), increased by 114.5%. Also, the volume of telecommunication services to the population (in advance) amounted to 1 billion 590 million 750 thousand 975 somoni, having increased by 123.06 percent compared to the first half of 2022 (1 billion 292 million 648 thousand 807 somoni).
It was noted that in pursuance of the order of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, set out in the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Ecxellency Emomali Rahmon “On the main directions of the domestic and foreign policy of the republic.” implementation of necessary and concrete measures to improve the quality of services, reduction in the cost of mobile communications and the Internet, make high-speed mobile Internet available in all regions of the country, including remote cities and regions, The Communications Service has created a permanent working staff, consisting of specialists and representatives of the Communications Service, mobile operators, Internet providers and the “Clever city” State unitary enterprise .
Installation of base stations by cellular companies, including modernization, relocation of the site to a new location, in terms of additional base stations at sites located on the territory of the republic in the first half of 2023, is as follows:
– Closed Joint Stock Company “Babilon-Mobile” – 95 number;
– Limited Liability Company “Takom”- 39 number;
– Closed Joint Stock Company “TT-mobile” – 190 number.
From Closed Joint Stock Company Indigo Tajikistan , has installed 15 new base stations and continues their construction, as well as modernized 57 base stations.
In order to reduce the cost of mobile services, the Communications Service, together with the Antimonopoly Service, reviewed, studied and analyzed all the tariff plans of mobile operators, and as a result, the average level of the cost of mobile services was reduced by 15%.
The working group, consisting of industry experts, will continue to work in this direction, and the cost of mobile services will be further reduced.
