Meeting of the Deputy Head of the Communications Service with representatives of mobile companies and Internet providers

Today, the First Deputy Head of the Communications Service, Ilhomjon Atoev, met with representatives of mobile communication companies and Internet providers at the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At this meeting, a number of issues were discussed, including the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence Day, holding the Fifth Anniversary Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia at a high level based on the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, as well as measures to strengthen the transition to a digital economy, e-government infrastructure and cashless payments.

It was noted that on the basis of the instructions and instructions of the top leadership of the government of the country, officials of communications and mobile communications companies are obliged on the days of the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence Day and the fifth holiday day, a consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia, on September 14-15, 2023, will be held in the city of Dushanbe, access to Wi-Fi will be provided in all public places of the capital, especially in cultural and entertainment parks and hotels, as well as mobile stations to increase the speed of the Internet.

In another part of the meeting, measures were implemented related to the digital economy, e-government, cashless payments and a decrease in the price of the Internet and telephone calls, as well as an increase in their level and quality, which is the direct concern of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon decided, analyzed and discussed. In this direction, all mobile companies and Internet providers are instructed to make serious efforts.

Finally, officials were instructed to take strict action to deal with complaints from mobile phone customers and Internet users from across the country.
