The participation of Ilhomjon Atoev in the Third Ministerial Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization on ICT in Tehran

Ilhomjon Atoev, Deputy Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, attended the third Ministerial Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization on ICT, which was held in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran.

This meeting started on 07/12/2023 and ended today. This meeting discussed the existing regional cooperation in the field related to ICT and the promotion of further activities in the future.
At the meeting, the ministers and heads of delegations analyzed and reviewed the implementation of the “Regional Strategy for Economic and Social Development (OECD) to expand the information society until 2025”, which is one of the key goals of this organization. It was emphasized that one of the goals of this meeting is to find ways to expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation between member countries.
The Economic Cooperation Organization was established 52 years ago with the cooperation of three countries: Iran, Turkey and Pakistan. Currently, 10 countries are members of the Economic Cooperation Organization, and the countries of Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Iran are joint members of the Economic Cooperation Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
