Mobile companies and banks of the country discussed the transition to cashless payments

Today, the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a joint meeting of officials of the Service, representatives of mobile companies and banks of the country.

The meeting addressed issues related to accelerating the transition to cashless payments as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “On measures to expand cashless payments” dated June 22 of this year.

An exchange of views took place on the solution and elimination of existing problems and obstacles. It was emphasized the need to provide access to the Internet for residents of all regions of the country, to strengthen the infrastructure in the banking system in order to provide a mechanism for paying for public services by non-cash funds and other pressing issues.

The need to strengthen cooperation between domestic financial and credit organizations and mobile companies was also emphasized. We remind you that according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “On measures to expand cashless payments” dated June 22 of this year, from August 1, 2023, the payment of taxes, state fees for the issuance of permits and licenses, other mandatory payments to the budget, fines, funds of compulsory state insurance , medical services, utilities, other types of public services, as well as the receipt of funds by ministries and departments, and state organizations is carried out in a non-cash form.
