Expanding Cooperation between Mobile Companies, Internet Providers, and Communication Structures with Smart City Initiatives
In a pivotal gathering held today at the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, significant strides were taken towards bolstering collaboration between leading mobile communications companies, Internet providers, and key figures within the nation’s communications sector.
Headed by Beg Sabur, the Chief of the Communications Service, the meeting convened heads and delegates from prominent mobile communication firms, Internet service providers, and governmental officials overseeing the country’s communication landscape.
The focal point of discussions revolved around the advancement of the “Electronic Government” initiative, with particular emphasis on fortifying partnerships between mobile corporations, Internet service providers, and communication entities with the State Unitary Enterprise “Smart City” under the executive authority of Dushanbe.
At the outset, Beg Sabur elucidated the significance of establishing the State Unitary Enterprise “Smart City” within the administrative framework of Dushanbe, underscoring its pivotal role amidst the rapid evolution of information and communication technologies. The endorsement of the State Unitary Enterprise “Smart City” by Dushanbe’s Rustam Emomali, was hailed as a crucial milestone in this trajectory.
Furthermore, the operational endeavors of the State Unitary Enterprise “Smart City” were lauded as exemplars of successful “electronic government” implementation nationwide, significantly contributing to its widespread adoption across the country.
Moreover, the enterprise’s effective execution of the Presidential Decree on expanding non-cash payments, dated June 22, 2023, within Dushanbe was commended. Beg Sabur stressed the imperative of fostering collaboration to augment the realization of “Smart City” initiatives, deeming it a contemporary imperative and a shared responsibility among mobile entities, Internet providers, and communication service structures.
Saadi Samadzod, Head of the State Unitary Enterprise “Smart City” in Dushanbe, underscored the tangible progress achieved by the enterprise and underscored the necessity of broadening collaboration with mobile companies and Internet providers, delineating specific areas of focus within the Communication Service.
Concluding the session, Beg Sabur directed representatives from mobile firms, Internet service providers, and communication officials to forge robust alliances with officials from the State Unitary Enterprise “Smart City” and the executive bodies of Dushanbe, underscoring the pivotal role of collective cooperation in advancing Smart City endeavors.
