Free internet is provided for cashless payments in remote areas
Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 22, 2023 No. 586 “On measures to expand non-cash payments” is of great importance for society, popularizing the use of electronic means of payment when paying for goods and services. Services contributes to the expansion of non-cash payments in the country’s monetary transactions.
Moreover, financial flows in the economy become transparent, the size of the shadow economy decreases, which leads to an increase in tax revenues.
Unimpeded access to the Internet will give a serious impetus to expanding the process of transition to non-cash payments. For this reason, the Communications Service, along with other structures, continues to work continuously in the context of ensuring access to the Internet in the country and increasing the accessibility and convenience of Internet services.
For this purpose, the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the framework of the Action Plan for the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 22, 2023, number 586 “On expansion measures – cash payment”, decided that in remote areas for users of Electric Distribution Networks » and telecom operators offer free Internet services for non-cash payments.
